HLB Recruits Dr. Kim Hong-cheol from KOSDAQ Association for 'ESG Management'
[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunseok Yoo] HLB announced on the 20th that it has recruited Dr. Kim Hong-cheol, a former executive director of the KOSDAQ Association, as the head of the ESG Management Team (Vice President) to strengthen the ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) management of the HLB Group.
Dr. Kim Hong-cheol earned a master's degree in business administration from Hanyang University and a doctorate in business administration from Soongsil University. He managed financial operations for several years at Daesung Group. In 2000, he joined the KOSDAQ Association as the head of the planning team and served as the acting full-time vice chairman in 2020. Over approximately 20 years at the KOSDAQ Association, he worked to promote the mid- to long-term growth and transparency of over 1,400 member companies.
With the recruitment of Vice President Kim Hong-cheol, HLB has established an ESG Management Team to analyze potential management risks of the HLB Group, monitor changes in internal and external management environments, and strive to improve the group's overall ESG rating and fulfill its social responsibilities.
