[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Seon-gang] Nam-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City (District Mayor Kim Byeong-nae) announced on the 19th that it will carry out a facility improvement project by December targeting households in the district using LPG cylinder rubber hoses, which are vulnerable to safety accidents due to the lack of city gas supply.
The LPG cylinder facility improvement project supports 80% of the replacement cost through national and city/district subsidies when replacing LPG rubber hoses, which are exposed to risks such as explosion accidents, with metal piping.
The replacement cost is 250,000 KRW per household, and the cost burden for eligible households is about 50,000 KRW.
Nam-gu plans to invest 5 million KRW this year to carry out this project for 20 households in the district.
