According to Nielsen Korea, a viewership rating survey agency, the average live broadcast rating of the DB Insurance Pro-Am Open (total prize money 700 million KRW) aired on JTBC Golf Channel was 0.299%. This far surpassed the previous highest opening event rating of 0.194% set last year at the Woosung Construction Aramir CC Busan Gyeongnam Open. The tournament was held over four days from the 15th at Oak Valley Golf Club's Oak and Maple courses (par 72, 7,147 yards) in Wonju, Gangwon Province.

Moon Do-yeop (30, DB Insurance) secured a 3-stroke victory at the tournament sponsored by his own sponsor. This was his second career win, coming 2 years and 9 months after the KPGA Championship in July 2018. On the final day, especially at the 18th hole (par 5), his second shot that decided the outcome caused the instantaneous viewership rating to soar to 0.716%. The Korean Tour will continue with the Gunsan CC Open (total prize money 500 million KRW) at Gunsan Golf Club in Jeonbuk starting on the 29th.
