Jeonnam Postal Service Agency Launches 'Postal Love Relay Challenge' for Underprivileged Groups
Donation of Goods to 1000-Won Baekban and Single-Parent Welfare Facilities
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] The Jeonnam Regional Post Office (Director Jeong Changrim) announced on the 19th that it has recently launched the ‘Post Love Relay Challenge’ to support socially marginalized groups in the local community who are struggling due to COVID-19.
The ‘Post Love Relay Challenge’ is a project in which post offices in Gwangju and Jeonnam regions, starting with the Jeonnam Post Office, support socially marginalized groups in the community in the form of a challenge.
The Gwangju and Jeonnam post offices provide an opportunity to deliver warmth to the local community and spread positive influence through this project.
The project began with the Post Office. It supported ‘Haetteuneun Sikdang,’ which cares for those in need around Daein Market with 1,000 meals, and ‘Woorijip,’ a welfare facility for low-income single-parent families in need of help amid the current social issue of child abuse, by providing food ingredients and daily necessities worth approximately 3.5 million won.
