Support for Health Foods and Proper Dietary Counseling and Education
[Hampyeong=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Chunsu] Hampyeong County Health Center announced on the 19th that it will carry out the health dietary support project for elderly living alone, which was conducted over two days on the 14th and 15th, a total of 8 times until the end of July.
The health dietary support project is aimed at elderly living alone who are vulnerable to nutritional intake and tend to neglect food purchasing and cooking, providing healthy snacks and counseling on dietary management.
Previously, the health center selected 50 elderly living alone at risk of malnutrition among the subjects of the visiting health project.
The recipients will receive foods such as dairy products, fruits, tofu, and eggs that can supply protein, calcium, and vitamins, a total of 8 times over 4 months.
In addition, to help them maintain a healthy diet on their own, personalized one-on-one nutrition counseling and education will be provided regarding chronic disease and weight management, as well as hygienic food management and storage.
