The recipients include 12,200 low-income vulnerable groups, 154 daycare centers, 18 senior care facilities, 7 village bus companies, totaling 203 locations and 12,218 individuals.
The district provided disaster relief funds worth approximately 32 billion KRW to about 36,000 COVID-19 affected residents facing real hardships. Around 6,400 essential workers under the Seongdong model received 100 masks each, and 136 facilities such as boarding houses, child care centers, wedding halls, and funeral homes were given either 500,000 KRW or equivalent sanitation supplies, thoroughly supporting other facilities in blind spots.
Additionally, 149 public facility instructors, 41 home care agencies, 11 vocational rehabilitation facilities for the disabled, and 16 disabled workers at these facilities each received 500,000 KRW to provide practical assistance.
This support was prepared as a joint city-district livelihood support measure to overcome the crisis, with Seongdong-gu and Seoul City each raising 5.8 billion KRW and 8 billion KRW respectively. A total of 12 billion KRW was directly paid as disaster relief funds to affected groups, and loans worth 20 billion KRW were provided to small business owners.
The city-district cooperative disaster relief fund supports 19 affected groups across four major sectors: small business owners, vulnerable groups, affected industries, and autonomous district support. It targets small business owners severely impacted by COVID-19, low-income vulnerable groups, unemployed youth, transportation workers, and cultural artists.
