Every fourth Wednesday of the month from 3 to 5 PM... Freely Discuss Various Topics
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Seon-gang] Gwangju Metropolitan City announced on the 18th that it will operate the 'Culture and Economy Vice Mayor's Office Open Day' every fourth Wednesday of the month from 3 PM to 5 PM starting on the 28th.
The Open Day is not a formal meeting but a time to freely discuss various topics on-site without prior review or coordination between participants and staff, in order to hear sincere stories from the field.
For the proposed agenda items, the relevant departments will review the content and explain the results directly to the participants or provide guidance in writing.
Organizations or individuals wishing to participate can apply by phone to the Office of Cultural City Policy from the 19th to the 23rd.
To support the cultural and artistic community's recovery from the COVID-19 crisis and firmly establish Gwangju as the cultural hub of Asia, the city operated a 'Special Cultural and Arts Week' from the 22nd to the 26th of last month, during which Mayor Lee Yong-seop personally listened to voices from the field. On the 1st, the city announced the '5 Major Shared Culture Vision and 20 Policies,' focusing on building cultural governance, supporting the cultural ecosystem, providing cultural enjoyment services, and creating a future cultural environment.
