View original image[Sejong=Asia Economy Reporter Son Seon-hee] Kim Boo-kyum, the nominee for Prime Minister, will begin preparations for the confirmation hearing starting on the 18th.
According to the Office for Government Policy Coordination on the 17th, Kim is scheduled to visit the Financial Supervisory Service Training Institute in Tongui-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul, on the afternoon of the 18th to greet the confirmation hearing preparation team and review key issues related to the hearing.
This office visit is an unofficial schedule, with the official start date being the 19th. Koo Yoon-cheol, head of the Office for Government Policy Coordination, will serve as the head of the hearing preparation team, and Choi Chang-won, the first deputy minister of the Prime Minister’s Office, will serve as deputy head. The preparation team is composed of five groups: the Strategy Team, Political Affairs Team, Personal Affairs Team, Media Team, and Administrative Support Team.
Earlier, on the 16th, the day Kim was nominated, he visited the office and received the first briefing from Koo, the head of the Office for Government Policy Coordination.

The predecessor, former Prime Minister Chung Sye-kyun, resigned immediately to pursue a presidential bid. Therefore, until Kim officially assumes office after the National Assembly confirmation hearing and approval process, Hong Nam-ki, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Finance, will serve as acting Prime Minister for the time being.
