KAMCO to Issue ESG Bonds Worth 3 Trillion KRW by 2023
[Asia Economy Reporter Song Seung-seop] Korea Asset Management Corporation (KAMCO) announced on the 15th that it will issue ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) bonds worth 3 trillion won by 2023.
According to the plan, KAMCO will start issuing ESG bonds worth 200 billion won from June. The expected total issuance amount for this year is 1.3 trillion won.
The funds raised through bond issuance will be used for financial support to industries affected by COVID-19, construction of zero-energy smart office buildings utilizing national and public land, and green remodeling of old buildings.

Moon Sung-yoo, President of KAMCO, emphasized, “We will focus on sustainability and value enhancement from bond issuance to business investment and promote key projects accordingly.”
