S-OIL Ranks First Simultaneously in Two Categories at the 2021 National Industry Awards
[Asia Economy Reporter Hwang Yoon-joo] S-OIL was selected as the number one company in two categories, Brand Strategy and Refining-Energy, at the ‘2021 National Industry Awards’ ceremony held on the 15th at the Swiss Grand Hotel in Seoul.
The National Industry Awards are organized by the Industrial Policy Studies (IPS) and sponsored by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and the Ministry of SMEs and Startups. Each year, companies that have contributed to the development of the national industry through excellent management capabilities and differentiated products and services are selected and awarded.
S-OIL was recognized for outstanding achievements in CEO leadership, differentiated brand strategy, social value of products and services, and external awards, ranking first in the Brand Strategy category for two consecutive years and also ranked first in the newly established Refining-Energy category this year.
Based on a business structure harmonizing refining, petrochemicals, and lubricants, S-OIL is doing its best to achieve the vision of becoming the ‘best eco-friendly energy and chemical company with competitiveness and creativity.’ Even amid the COVID-19 crisis, it has enhanced customer satisfaction through high-quality products and services and is conducting creative marketing activities that strengthen brand value based on a deep understanding of consumers and the market.
Since 2007, S-OIL has operated the ‘Trust-Filled Gas Station’ system, where the company directly guarantees genuine products and accurate quantities. It is the only domestic refining company to maintain the highest level for six consecutive years in the gasoline/diesel ‘Metropolitan Environmental Quality Grade Evaluation’ conducted by the Ministry of Environment, producing high-quality and eco-friendly products to protect consumer interests and minimize impacts on the environment and customer safety.
