Futuristic and Sporty Design Focus
Expansion of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems and Convenience Features
[Asia Economy Reporter Yu Je-hoon] Kia's 'The new K3' has made its debut.
Kia announced on the 14th that it will unveil the interior and exterior design of The new K3, an upgraded model of the compact sedan K3. The new K3 is a model introduced by Kia three years after the launch of the K3 on February 3, 2018.
The new K3 features a futuristic and sporty design, along with the latest safety and convenience features. At the front, slim headlights and a radiator grille create a wider appearance, while a dynamic chrome garnish extending from the grille to the headlights adds a three-dimensional effect.
Additionally, the turn signals are integrated into the headlights to convey a clean image, and daytime running lights that symbolize speed emphasize a sophisticated feel. The lower bumper, reminiscent of a fighter jet wing, gives a sleek impression.
The rear focuses on a horizontally oriented design with added depth to create a stable yet sporty sensibility, applying a speed-inspired design to the taillights for harmony with the front. Furthermore, the newly added exterior color, Mineral Blue, emphasizes a dynamic feel.
Inside, a 10.25-inch large UVO navigation screen and a 10.25-inch cluster enhance driver visibility while creating a high-tech image. The navigation section features touch switches to provide a driver-centered comfortable driving environment. Also, a new interior color, a high-chroma orange brown commonly used in luxury vehicles, has been added to create a luxurious yet youthful image.
Kia has equipped The new K3 with numerous advanced driver assistance systems and convenience features. Specifically, it includes assistance systems such as Highway Driving Assist (HDA), Lane Following Assist (LFA), and Navigation-based Smart Cruise Control (NSCC), as well as safety features like Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist (FCA), Blind-Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist (BCA), Safe Exit Warning (SEW), Driver Attention Warning (DAW), Rear View Monitor (RVM), and Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance Assist (RCCA).
Moreover, convenience has been enhanced with features such as an Electronic Parking Brake (EPB), remote start smart key, Over-the-Air (OTA) navigation updates, and Rear Occupant Alert (ROA).
