President Choi Si-young of Samsung Attends Semiconductor Meeting with Biden
[Asia Economy New York=Correspondent Baek Jong-min] The White House announced on the 12th (local time) that Choi Si-young, President of the Foundry Business Division, will attend the "CEO Meeting on Semiconductor and Supply Chain Resilience," which U.S. President Joe Biden will also attend. President Choi will attend the meeting in place of Vice Chairman Lee Jae-yong, who is currently incarcerated.
The list of attendees released by the White House includes Sundar Pichai, CEO of Alphabet; Michael Dell, CEO of Dell Technologies; James Farley, CEO of Ford; Mary Barra, CEO of GM; Thomas Caulfield, CEO of GlobalFoundries; Pat Gelsinger, CEO of Intel; and Mark Liu, Chairman of TSMC.
From the U.S. government, Jake Sullivan, National Security Advisor to the White House; Brian Deese, Director of the National Economic Council (NEC); and Gina Raimondo, Secretary of Commerce, will attend.
