‘Masters Champ’ Matsuyama Hideki (Japan) jumped 11 spots from 25th last week in the world rankings. He received 5.36 points in the weekly official golf world rankings announced on the afternoon of the 12th (Korean time). On the morning of the same day, at Augusta National Golf Club in Georgia, USA (par 72, 7,475 yards), he added 1 over par on the final day of the Masters to achieve a 1-stroke victory (10 under par, 278 strokes). This is the first win by an Asian player, surpassing last year's joint 2nd place Im Sung-jae (23, CJ Logistics).
