Gyeongnam Province Conducts Inspection and Supervision of Public Waste Treatment Facilities
April 13 to May 27, Targeting 56 Sites Including Landfill, Incineration, and Food Waste Treatment Facilities
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Saeyan] Gyeongsangnam-do announced on the 12th that it will conduct a first half-year inspection of public waste treatment facilities.
The inspection period is about 7 weeks, from the 13th to the 27th of next month.
The inspection targets are 56 public treatment facilities operated by the counties, including landfill facilities, incineration facilities, resource recovery centers (recycling sorting centers), and food waste treatment facilities.
This inspection will conduct on-site checks to ensure that household waste treatment facilities comply with relevant laws and guidelines and are operated properly.
The purpose is to induce stable treatment and maintenance of household waste and to prevent inconvenience to residents in advance.
For simple and minor issues found during the inspection, on-site guidance will be provided, while legal actions such as fines and facility improvement orders will be taken for violations such as abnormal operation or exceeding standards.
