World-Renowned Futurist John Naisbitt Passes Away at 92 Years Old
Author of 'Megatrends' with over 14 million copies sold worldwide

[Asia Economy Reporter Kwon Jae-hee] John Naisbitt, regarded alongside Alvin Toffler as one of the two leading scholars of futurism, passed away on the 10th (local time) at the age of 92.
According to the Associated Press, his wife Doris Naisbitt stated that John Naisbitt peacefully passed away at his home near Lake W?rthersee in Austria.
Born on January 15, 1929, in Salt Lake City, Utah, USA, he studied at Harvard University, Cornell University, and the University of Utah. He earned degrees in 15 fields including political science, humanities, engineering, and science.
He worked for over 40 years in the corporate sector, holding senior executive positions at Eastman Kodak and IBM. At the age of 34, he was appointed as an education advisor to President John F. Kennedy.
Dr. John Naisbitt published the 'Megatrends' series, which accurately predicted major trends from the late 20th century to the early 21st century. The first 'Megatrends,' released in 1982, remained on The New York Times bestseller list for two years and sold over 14 million copies in 57 countries worldwide, earning him a reputation as a global futurist.
