[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Warm news for vulnerable groups who are likely facing even greater difficulties as COVID-19 prolongs has become a hot topic.
Specifically, in Jeongneung 1-dong, Seongbuk-gu (Mayor Lee Seung-ro), it was reported that the creators of the popular YouTube channel 'Jinwoo and Haeti' donated 2 million KRW to low-income youth in the area who are struggling.
This donation was made by the YouTubers 'Jinwoo and Haeti,' who reside in the local community, to encourage low-income students not to lose their dreams despite difficult circumstances. Among the operators, Mr. Heo Jinwoo said, “Everyone is going through a tougher time than ever due to COVID-19, but I donated this money hoping that the struggling juniors in the area will not lose their dreams and grow into outstanding talents who will brighten the local community.”
In response, a Seongbuk-gu official said, “This donation is even more meaningful as it goes beyond simple financial support and serves as encouragement and support from local seniors so that students can pursue various dreams.”
