COVID-19 Spread Continues in Goyang‥ 17 Additional Cases Confirmed
[Asia Economy Reporter Ra Young-cheol] In Goyang, Gyeonggi Province, where the spread of COVID-19 shows no signs of slowing down, 17 additional confirmed cases were reported on the 11th.
Goyang City announced on the same day, "Four cases were confirmed on the afternoon of the 10th, and as of 4 p.m. on the 11th, 13 cases were confirmed, totaling 17 new COVID-19 cases."
According to the city, among the cases, 2 are related to a practical music academy, 5 are infections among family and acquaintances, 4 had contact with confirmed cases from other regions, 2 reside in other regions, and the infection routes of the remaining 4 are under investigation.
With 2 additional confirmed cases among cohabiting family members of those related to the practical music academy located in Ilsan Seo-gu, the cumulative number of confirmed cases has reached 21.
As a result of mass testing of a total of 2,245 individuals related to the practical music academy, including 2,139 school contacts, 2,224 people tested negative excluding the 21 cumulative confirmed cases.
Meanwhile, one resident of Goyang City was confirmed positive at a health center in another region, and the infection route is under investigation.
