Honam University eSports Industry Department Draws Attention with Various Employment Training Including Game Tournaments
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Gwan-woo] The Department of eSports Industry at Honam University is making various efforts to help students achieve stable employment and career choices by holding practical education programs and special lectures on jobs related to the department.
According to Honam University on the 11th, the Department of eSports Industry held a ‘Sudden Attack’ tournament on the 9th, where students directly planned and operated the event.
In this tournament, mixed teams of first and second-year students were formed, and students themselves carried out all processes of the tournament, including refereeing and broadcasting, gaining ample experience related to future jobs.
On the 15th, a special lecture by an eSports expert will be held to broaden the employment and career options for enrolled students.
The special lecture will start at 3:30 PM at the Honam University eSports Arena.
Nam Yoon-sung, Deputy Manager of the Sportizen eSports team, will provide detailed information on over 20 eSports jobs such as ▲professional gamer ▲league planner ▲referee ▲league PD ▲broadcast writer ▲game caster ▲specialized reporter, as well as how to obtain related certifications, salaries, prospects, and preparation methods.
