A was accused of secretly filming the victim, female neighbor B, showering naked through the bathroom window of the villa where he lived in September of last year and was brought to trial.
At the previous sentencing hearing, the prosecution requested the court to sentence A to two years in prison and impose a three-year employment restriction order. At that time, A admitted the charges, saying, "I am sorry for causing harm and concern to the victim." He also submitted a self-written letter of apology, pleading for leniency.
The court stated, "A has admitted to the crime, and guilt is recognized," adding, "Although the nature of the crime is not good, considering that he admitted and reflected on his crime, has no prior criminal record, and the victim does not wish for punishment, the sentence was determined after considering various circumstances." However, the court did not impose the employment restriction order requested by the prosecution.
