Watcha and Tcast Co-produce E Channel Variety Show 'Noneun Bro'
[Asia Economy Reporter Koo Eun-mo] Online video service (OTT) Watcha is stepping into the production and investment of TV entertainment programs to strengthen its content competitiveness.
Watcha announced on the 9th that it will co-produce the E Channel entertainment program "Noneun Bro" together with Tcast. The two companies recently finalized a contract for the joint production of Noneun Bro. This is the first time Watcha is producing and investing in a TV entertainment program. Noneun Bro is scheduled to air on E Channel in May and will be exclusively streamed on Watcha.
Noneun Bro is a spin-off version of "Noneun Unni," which attracted many viewers last year. While Noneun Unni featured stories of female athletes such as Park Seri, Nam Hyun-hee, and Kwak Min-jung, Noneun Bro will depict the first halftime of male athletes who only knew sports. The cast has been confirmed to include athletes from various sports such as Park Yong-taek, Jeon Tae-poong, Kim Yo-han, Jo Jun-ho, Gu Bon-gil, and Kim Hyung-gyu.
