Photos Depicting Damyang's Modern and Contemporary History: Searching for Photos Capturing the Fading Old Scenes of Damyang
[Damyang=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Chunsu] Damyang County is searching for photos that capture the fading history and atmosphere of Damyang.
On the 8th, Damyang County in Jeonnam announced that it will promote the "Damyang Old Photo Contest on Modern and Contemporary History Seen Through Photos," aimed at preserving old photos of Damyang filled with history and atmosphere as basic materials for the region's transformation history.
The "Damyang Old Photo Contest" is a project to collect old photos containing Damyang's history and atmosphere, such as fading old landscapes, tourist attractions, festivals, old buildings, and alleys, to preserve them as foundational materials for Damyang's transformation history.
Anyone can participate if they have various materials such as films or photos taken before 1990 that can recall Damyang's past. Submitted materials will be scanned in their original form and returned to the participants.
Submissions are accepted until July 23, and participants must prepare photos including the shooting date and location explanation along with the application form and other attachments. Submissions can be made both online and on-site (at Damyang Cultural Center).
Award-winning works will be selected and announced in August, considering the relevance to the theme, work description, and documentary value.
