Gwangju Seobu Fire Station Conducts 'Emergency Rescue Training' to Enhance Disaster Response Capabilities
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] Gwangju Seobu Fire Station (Chief Lee Cheontaek) announced on the 8th that it conducted an 'Emergency Rescue Drill' on the 7th to establish a disaster site command system and improve rapid response capabilities.
This drill, conducted for the emergency rescue control team operators, assumed a situation of multiple casualties caused by a large-scale fire in a lodging facility and was carried out by dividing into each department and team.
The drill covered performing tasks by each function following the activation of the control team, as well as disaster site recovery and cleanup.
Earlier, on the 6th, Seobu Fire Station sent bulk text messages to 11 support organizations of the Seo-gu Emergency Rescue Control Team and health center directors to establish a cooperative system with related organizations and also checked the emergency contact network without prior notice.
