Seongdong-gu, Spring Flower Spots Eungbongsan Forsythia Flower Path and Songjeong Cherry Blossom Road View Released
From Roadview Without Blind Spots to Safely Enjoying Roadview, Contributing to Residents' Psychological Quarantine
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Seongdong-gu (District Mayor Jung Won-oh) will provide the 'Seongdong Smart Road View Service' to residents through its website starting from the 7th.
The 'Seongdong Smart Road View' is a video service that captures scenes along alleys, stairs, tunnels, and walking trails, including blind spots such as alleys not provided by private portals. It features scenic routes like Eungbongsan and the embankment road in Songjeong-dong, famous for spring flowers.
As social distancing measures in the metropolitan area to prevent COVID-19 infection have been prolonged, leading to the cancellation of spring flower festivals such as the Forsythia Festival and emphasizing quarantine rules for visitors, the district has prepared a way for residents to safely enjoy spring. The service shares the diverse seasonal changes of the district through videos with residents.
The 'Seongdong Smart Road View' offers vivid videos with 360° rotation and clear image quality. A district official explained, "Users will feel as if they are walking along the flower path on a sunny April spring day, providing comfort to residents physically and mentally exhausted by the prolonged COVID-19 situation, and also helping psychological quarantine."
Last year, through the 'Smart Road View Service' project, the district directly filmed narrow alleys, stairs, tunnels, and walking trails not provided by private portal road views. A total of 72 km of routes and about 7,000 points were built as data. Road view data, previously used only for administrative work, has been made available on the website for general residents to use.
The 'Seongdong Smart Road View' will later include various themed road views, capturing the ever-changing diverse scenes of Seongdong-gu throughout the year, including not only Eungbongsan and Songjeong embankment road but also Daehyeonsan Rose Garden and Seoul Forest.
