Hampyeong-gun Conducts 'Agricultural Machinery Mobile Repair Training'
[Hampyeong=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Chunsu] Hampyeong County will conduct mobile agricultural machinery repair training until the 8th to prepare for the full-scale farming season and support farmers struggling due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic.
According to the county on the 7th, this mobile repair training is carried out by a joint repair team formed by the Jeonnam Provincial Agricultural Research and Extension Services and the Hampyeong County Agricultural Technology Center, which possess specialized repair skills.
The target villages include seven villages such as Seokdu and Seonggok villages in Seokseong 2-ri, Hampyeong-eup; Bokhak, Geumgok, and Wanjeong villages in Haksan 2-ri, Sonbul-myeon; and Sinyeo and Sujeong villages in Dongjeong 2-ri, Singwang-myeon. The team will visit these villages according to schedule to repair small agricultural machinery such as tillers, mowers, and fertilizer spreaders.
In particular, to enable farmers to promptly respond to emergencies such as machinery breakdowns during work, safety accident prevention education including repair techniques and emergency response methods will also be promoted.

An official from the county agricultural technology center said, “Agricultural machinery that was not used during the off-season often breaks down during work due to poor pre-inspection,” adding, “We plan to continuously promote this training to help facilitate timely farming as much as possible.”
