Dong-Eui University and Game Rating and Administration Committee Sign MOU for Game Ecosystem Development, Cultural Establishment, and Talent Nurturing

Dong-Eui University (President Han Su-hwan) ICT College of Engineering (Dean Kim Chi-yong), LINC+ Project Group (Director Lee Im-geon), and Artificial Intelligence Grand ICT Research Center (Director Jeong Seok-chan) signed an MOU with the Game Rating and Administration Committee (Chairman Lee Jae-hong) on April 7 at 11 a.m. at the PRIME Convention Multipurpose Hall on the 1st floor of Dong-Eui University Industry-Academic Cooperation Building to foster a healthy local game ecosystem and cooperation.
In the agreement, each institution agreed to cooperate on △ academic research and surveys for the creation and growth of a healthy game ecosystem △ game content management education experience for youth and creation of local youth employment △ formation of a community of cooperation among local game-related public institutions and educational institutions △ support for various projects and events △ nurturing excellent AI-related talent for the development of the game industry.
Attendees at the event included Lee Jae-hong, Chairman of the Game Rating and Administration Committee; Kim Chi-yong, Dean of Dong-Eui University ICT College of Engineering; Lee Im-geon, Director of the LINC+ Project Group; Jeong Seok-chan, Director of the Artificial Intelligence Grand ICT Research Center; and other officials.
Kim Chi-yong, Dean of Dong-Eui University ICT College of Engineering (Professor of Game Engineering), said, “To protect game users and create a healthy game ecosystem, each institution has agreed to closely cooperate in the exchange of game and AI technologies and talent development.”
Dean Kim introduced, “Dong-Eui University ICT College of Engineering integrates IT and CT, and based on this, it is a convergent educational institution that nurtures talent in various fields related to games such as programming, design, and storytelling, playing a pivotal role in cultivating global game talent.”
Jeong Seok-chan, Director of the Artificial Intelligence Grand ICT Research Center, said, “By combining the university’s educational capabilities and the institution’s expertise, we will expand the development of the game ecosystem as well as academic and cultural exchanges.”
Director Jeong added, “We will achieve continuous development through more diverse information exchange and cooperation so that games and AI can lead the Fourth Industrial Revolution era.”
Dong-Eui University Artificial Intelligence Grand ICT Research Center is developing AI-based intelligent innovation convergence technologies based on the industrial demand of the Busan region with a total project budget of 18.75 billion KRW (15 billion KRW national funds, 100 million KRW city funds, and 2.25 billion KRW from Dong-Eui University) until 2027, and is nurturing specialized personnel.
