Junggi Joonganghoe Appoints Chairs of Industry and Special Committees... "Identifying On-site Challenges"
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Bo-kyung] On the 7th, the Korea Federation of Small and Medium Business (KSMB) held the 'Industry and Special Committee Chairperson Appointment Ceremony' at the KSMB headquarters in Yeouido, Seoul, and pledged to actively address the pressing issues of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and cooperatives.
The appointed chairpersons on this day were selected as individuals with new perspectives, considering expertise by field and industry representation. Over the next two years, they will play a role in identifying and representing the on-site difficulties faced by SMEs and cooperatives based on their expertise and field experience.
The KSMB reorganized its committees from a total of 33 to 28 after reviewing committee performance to ensure solid committee operations and improve operational outcomes.
To respond to changing policy demands and current issues, three new committees were established: Environmental Policy, Textile Industry, and Innovative Procurement. Eight committees with overlapping issues and functions were merged or abolished.
