Park Young-sun, "Bringing Spring to Citizens' Lives"
Listing Lies, Judgment, Honesty, and Trust, Criticizing Candidate Oh Until the End
[Asia Economy Reporter Oh Ju-yeon] "With proven ability and competence, honest sincerity without lies, and genuine commitment to the future of Seoul, I will make sure that spring comes to the lives of ten million Seoul citizens as soon as possible."
Park Young-sun, the Democratic Party of Korea's candidate for Seoul mayor, posted a message titled "April 7, the day of the final choice" on her Facebook early on election day, appealing for support until the last moment. Although the official campaign period has ended, online activities can continue on this day as well.
In her Facebook post around 8 a.m. on the 7th, Park listed words such as lies, judgment, honesty, trust, and incompetence to attack Oh Se-hoon, the People Power Party's candidate for Seoul mayor. At her final campaign rally held in Gwanghwamun the previous day, Park also mentioned the omission of Oh's spouse's tax payment in her closing remarks, tightening the pressure on Oh.

The Central Election Commission announced the previous day that the tax amount reported by Oh's spouse to the commission was 119,677,000 KRW, but the actual tax paid was 119,979,000 KRW, indicating a partial omission. The reported amount was about 300,000 KRW less than the actual payment. Regarding this, Park criticized in her final campaign speech, saying, "This shows how hasty and inaccurate the candidate is," framing the issue as a matter of 'incompetence' versus 'competence' and highlighting her own policies. Park emphasized, "If I become mayor, I will implement a '100,000 KRW disaster relief fund per person' as my first official approval." She also remarked, "Since last Friday, the day of early voting, the wind direction has changed and is blowing, but it is regrettable that it came somewhat late."
