Songpa-gu Publishes '2021 Welfare Project Guide'
All Welfare Policies Available from E-Book to SongpaTV and YouTube Channel
[Asia Economy Reporter Jong-il Park] Songpa-gu (Mayor Park Seong-su) has published the '2021 Welfare Project Guide' to enhance residents' accessibility to welfare information and the utilization of policies.
The 'Welfare Project Guide' is a comprehensive welfare manual that compiles essential welfare information for residents amid complex and diverse welfare policies into one volume. It integrates various welfare projects promoted by public welfare departments such as the Welfare Policy Division and the Women and Childcare Division, as well as services provided by private welfare institutions like comprehensive social welfare centers.
The booklet contains the latest information on 79 major welfare projects across seven fields: ▲low-income residents ▲elderly ▲disabled ▲women, children, and youth ▲housing ▲employment ▲healthcare.
For each project, detailed information such as the responsible department, eligible recipients, required documents, selection criteria, and application methods are included. It also contains the status of welfare facilities and services in Songpa-gu, along with a list of various welfare resources to provide customized services for households in crisis.
Additionally, the crisis response manual has been updated to enable social welfare practitioners to respond immediately to crisis situations such as solitary deaths and child abuse. The appendix includes the 'Songpa Welfare Map,' allowing residents to view the locations and information of major social welfare institutions in Songpa-gu at a glance.
Moreover, to ensure residents can access welfare information anytime and anywhere, the guide is posted in E-Book format on the district office website. This year, to deliver useful welfare information vividly to residents who find face-to-face consultations difficult due to COVID-19, welfare series videos featuring resident reporters and social welfare practitioners will be produced and broadcast through Songpa TV and YouTube channels.
Since 2014, the district has published a comprehensive welfare manual annually by compiling manuals of public services and welfare policies that change each year. By distributing and sharing the booklet with public welfare departments and private welfare institution practitioners, it contributes to resolving resource imbalances and activating outreach services for residents.
