Customized Information Provided for Job Seekers by 13 Organizations Including KEPCO Until May 26
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Seon-gang] Gwangju Metropolitan City announced on the 6th that, together with Jeonnam Province, it will hold the '2021 Online Regional Talent Joint Recruitment Briefing Session' from the 8th of this month to the 26th of next month to revitalize recruitment at relocated public institutions and introduce recruitment-related policies to local students.
Hosted by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport and the National Balanced Development Committee, and jointly participated by 10 innovation cities nationwide, this recruitment briefing session will be conducted online to prevent COVID-19.
In the Gwangju and Jeonnam regions, 13 institutions including Korea Electric Power Corporation will participate, along with 101 relocated public institutions nationwide, providing tailored information to job seekers.
In this recruitment briefing session, recruitment information for each relocated public institution will be provided via video so that job seekers can easily obtain the necessary information. Especially targeting the MZ generation who prefer interactive content, the session will leverage the advantages of online platforms to offer participatory programs such as ▲HR manager talk concerts ▲self-introduction letter consulting and career aptitude tests ▲briefing session promotional events, providing vivid employment information.
Additionally, recruitment-related systems such as open campus and National Competency Standards (NCS) strategies will be introduced, and detailed pages for regional recruitment guidance will be established to provide practical support to job seekers preparing for public institution employment, general job seekers, and students.
Relocated public institutions in innovation cities are required to hire local talent according to Article 29-2 of the Special Act on the Creation and Development of Innovation Cities, and the mandatory hiring rate, which started at 18% in 2018, is being expanded to 30% or more by 2022.
Last year, the average local talent hiring rate of relocated public institutions in the Gwangju-Jeonnam joint innovation city was 27.0%, exceeding the statutory local talent target hiring rate of 24.0% in 2019 by 3.0 percentage points, contributing to youth job creation despite the prolonged employment recession caused by COVID-19.
