Chungnam Province Provides '300,000 Won Voucher' to Small-Scale Farms
[Asia Economy (Hongseong) Reporter Jeong Il-woong] Chungnam Province will provide vouchers worth 300,000 KRW to small-scale local farms.
The province announced on the 6th that it will distribute vouchers to about 54,000 farms that received the Public Interest Direct Payment Small-scale Farm Direct Payment (hereinafter referred to as Small-scale Farm Direct Payment) last year.
The vouchers are scheduled to be distributed by the 30th of this month following the confirmation of the government's supplementary budget last month (Temporary Management Support Voucher for Small-scale Farms).
Farms eligible for the payment will be notified collectively via mobile or text message, and each farm must visit the local agricultural and livestock cooperative, product association, or NongHyup Bank located in the area of their cultivated farmland (if multiple plots, the location of the largest plot) to complete the application process, or apply through the NongHyup Card website.
Farms excluded from voucher payments can file objections at the Eup/Myeon/Dong community service centers from the 3rd to the 7th of next month.
Farms that complete the application will receive the voucher by having points charged onto their NongHyup credit or check card.
If they do not have a card, they can apply for and receive a check card on-site, and farms unable to receive a new card can collect prepaid cards at designated agricultural and livestock cooperatives or NongHyup Bank branches after the 14th of next month.
Points received must be used within 90 days from the date of receipt, and prepaid cards must be used by August 31; any remaining balance after the expiration date will be forfeited.
