Sancheong-gun Youth Non-Face-to-Face 'Sports Stacking' Project Underway
Helps Relieve Adolescent Depression and Improve Coordination
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] The Sancheong-gun Youth Training Center in Gyeongnam announced on the 5th that it plans to conduct a non-face-to-face sports activity called 'Sports Stacking.'
'Sports Stacking,' a hand-based athletic game, is a sport of speed and skill that develops concentration and agility.
Using both hands to stack and unstack 9 or 12 speed sticks cups in various ways helps brain development, making it increasingly popular among youth.
The program is conducted online via video conferencing in a non-face-to-face format, with 15 youths participating from 3rd to 6th grade in elementary school. Especially, youths living in relatively distant areas can participate online, receiving great response.
One youth who participated in the class said, "Learning how to stack the cups and competing for speed is really fun, and my records are gradually improving."
