Seongnam City to Continue 'Technology Doctor' Support for SME Technical Difficulties This Year
[Asia Economy (Seongnam) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Seongnam City in Gyeonggi Province is launching the 'Technology Doctor Project' to resolve technical difficulties faced by small and medium-sized manufacturing companies.
Seongnam City announced on the 5th that it will invest 457 million KRW (including 30% provincial subsidy) in the project this year, aiming to support 84 companies.
The Technology Doctor team consists of expert technical personnel from 98 partner organizations and institutions, including national research institutes, technology support organizations, and universities.
When companies face product or process technical difficulties, the team visits the company site to analyze the causes of the technical issues and provide problem-solving support. Companies can receive up to 10 consulting sessions over 1 to 2 months.
After on-site technical support, if requested, additional technical assistance for SMEs will be provided.
For four months, the Technology Doctor will offer specific advice and support on prototype production, process improvement, and more. Companies will receive support covering 20% of the project costs related to prototype production, up to a maximum of 20 million KRW.
Small and medium-sized enterprises in the Seongnam area wishing to receive technical support can apply through the Technology Doctor website.
