Lee Hyuk-je, Jeonnam Provincial Assembly Member, Inspects Operation Status of Educational Institutions in Sinan
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Jun-kyung] Lee Hyuk-je, Chairman of the Budget and Accounts Committee of the Jeonnam Provincial Council (Democratic PartyㆍMokpo 4), announced on the 2nd that he visited the Shinan education site to inspect current educational issues at the Shinan Office of Education.
Chairman Lee toured the site planned for the relocation of the Shinan Office of Education located in Aphae-eup, Shinan-gun, and visited Amtae Middle School to listen to information regarding the operation of a future-type integrated management school.
He also visited the Chupo Branch of Amtae Elementary School, which has been closed since 2016, to assess the situation where the school may need to be closed if there is no increase in student numbers following the opening of the Chupo Bridge. The Chupo Branch has expressed interest in being purchased by Shinan-gun for use as a government employee training center.
Chairman Lee stated, “The relocation of the Shinan Office of Education building must consider the accessibility of parents and staff in island areas to avoid any inconvenience,” and added, “I hope that through gathering diverse opinions on the relocation, it will become the best education office representing the island region.”

He continued, “The success or failure of promoting future-type integrated management schools that combine different schools depends on communication with local residents,” and added, “I hope that local residents and schools will share various opinions and actively promote communication.”
