[Asia Economy Reporter Donghyun Choi] The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism announced on the 2nd that it will invest 4.5 billion KRW from the first supplementary budget this year to support the hiring of about 400 personnel for broadcasting video content production in order to revitalize the broadcasting video industry, which has been stagnated due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic.
Small and medium-sized broadcasting video production companies affected by COVID-19 can apply for the "Broadcasting Video Content Production Personnel Support Project." If selected as a support target, new personnel involved in production tasks such as writers, directors, lighting, sound, and filming staff can receive a monthly wage of 1.8 million KRW per person, supported for up to 6 months, with a maximum of 4 people per company.
To provide prompt and effective job support, the project will be carried out in collaboration with the Korea Drama Production Association and the Korea Broadcasting Video Production Association. More detailed information about this project can be found on the Korea Creative Content Agency website and other sources.
