LG Uplus, First Broadcast of 'Park Seri's Tomorrow is a Hero' Finals
The Life Channel to Air First Episode of Main Competition on the 3rd
[Asia Economy Reporter Cha Min-young] LG Uplus announced that it will air the finals episode of the original program "Park Seri's Tomorrow is a Hero: Swinging Toward Dreams" on the 3rd through the ‘U+Golf’ app and its subsidiary Medialog’s The Life channel.
Tomorrow is a Hero, Korea’s first golf audition program, returns to viewers with the finals competition in April. Last year’s broadcast covered the first and second preliminary rounds. The first finals episode features the round of 16 for the finalists who have completed three months of training.
The program is led by coach Park Seri, the greatest player in Korean women’s golf history, along with golf commentator Kim Jae-yeol, golf mentor pro Kim Joo-hyung, and announcer Oh Sang-jin.
The cumulative views of Tomorrow is a Hero on The Life YouTube channel recently surpassed 5 million in just two videos, with total watch time exceeding 300,000 hours. The highest views per clip have exceeded 600,000. In particular, the killing shot clips of teenage participants who caught coach Park Seri’s attention recorded the highest views. The video of Han Jung-won, a golfer with a prosthetic leg, also approached 300,000 views.
Gu Tae-hyung, head of the PP division at Medialog, which produced Tomorrow is a Hero, said, “Tomorrow is a Hero, Korea’s first golf audition program planned with golf legend coach Park Seri, is pioneering a new genre and receiving viewers’ interest and love. We hope to deliver emotion and enjoyment through the growing journey of the finalists dreaming of becoming the next Park Seri.”
Kim Seok-gu, head of LG Uplus Golf Service Office, added, “With the opening of the KLPGA season, we will discover various contents and events that golf fans can be interested in and provide differentiated content exclusive to the U+Golf app.”
