Namwon-si Accepts Entries for National Lacquer Woodcraft Competition Until the 4th
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Nosik] Namwon City, Jeonbuk, announced on the 1st that it will accept entries for the "24th Namwon City National Lacquered Woodcraft Competition" from the 2nd to the 4th.
Applicants can download the application form from the announcement/notice section on the Namwon City website and submit it along with their work to the Namwon City Hall auditorium or the Namwon City Seoul Office.
Now in its 24th year, the National Lacquered Woodcraft Competition is an annual contest held to discover outstanding woodcraft works and artists, and to boost the morale of craftsmen through awards.
The competition accepts entries in two categories (lacquered woodcraft and inlay) using wood as the material, and a total of 37 works will be selected to receive awards including the Prime Minister's Award (Grand Prize) and a total prize money of 120 million KRW.
After the submission period ends, the judging of works, public disclosure for public opinion collection, and on-site inspection will be conducted from the 7th, and the final results will be posted on the Namwon City Hall website on the 14th.
