President's Award Top Winner Yebin Kim "Captured Gwangalli, Yeongdodaegyo, and Jeolyeong Coast in One Frame"

The grand prize winner of the ‘2021 Maritime City Busan Sea Area Illustration Contest’ was Ye-bin Kim (Dong-A University) with the work titled ‘Memories and Romance of Busan’.
The National Pukyong National University Humanities Korea Plus (HK+) Project Group and Busan Ilbo held the award ceremony on the 29th, selecting and awarding nine works including Ye-bin Kim’s piece.
From January to February, under the theme ‘Northeast Asia’s Hub, Maritime City Busan,’ 81 illustration works related to the Busan sea challenged the contest.
The work ‘Memories and Romance of Busan,’ which received the Pukyong National University President’s Award, was praised for capturing the sea of Gwangalli, Yeongdo Bridge, and Jeolyeong Coastal Walkway in one frame, expressing the warm memories and romance that can be felt in the Busan sea to the fullest. Kim received a certificate and a gift certificate worth 1 million KRW.
Next, Min-jin Song (National Taxi Transport Business Association Federation Mutual Aid Association), selected as the Busan Ilbo President’s Award winner, received a certificate and a gift certificate worth 1 million KRW for the work ‘Overwhelming Sea,’ which encompasses Busan North Port Bridge, Songdo, and Yeongdo.
Additionally, the Dean’s Award of the College of Humanities and Social Sciences at Pukyong National University was awarded to Yoon-sik Choi for ‘Busan Port’ and Ha-ra Kim for ‘Busan with a Variety of Colors of the Sea.’ The Director’s Award of the Humanities Korea Plus Project Group at Pukyong National University went to Dong-young Kim for ‘Maritime Culture Leading to the Sea,’ Wei Ying Wu for ‘Busan Lighthouse,’ Do-hee Koo for ‘Dynamic Busan,’ So-young Yuk for ‘Me, You, Us and Haeundae Beach,’ and Eun-jung Hong for ‘WAVE IN BUSAN.’
Pukyong National University plans to utilize the winning works of this contest as sea area humanities content to expand the popularization of humanities.
