[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Jae-ho] Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power Co., Ltd. Hanul Nuclear Power Headquarters (Head Park Beom-su) announced on the 1st that Hanul Unit 1 (Pressurized Water Reactor, 950 MW class), which had its turbine stopped on March 22, reached 100% output around 5 a.m. on the 31st.
Hanul Unit 2 (same type), which had its reactor stopped, resumed power generation at 8:55 p.m. on the 30th of the same month and reached 100% output at 5:20 a.m. on April 1.

Hanul Units 1 and 2 were shut down around 2 a.m. on the 22nd of last month due to a large influx of marine organisms (salpa) into the intake channel. Accordingly, the Hanul Headquarters removed the marine organisms during the shutdown period and completed measures for the normal operation of the power plant.
