[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Bong-su] Post Office Shopping, operated by the Korea Post Business Promotion Agency, is recruiting new regional specialty products such as agricultural, marine, and livestock products, processed foods, and traditional liquors from the 1st to the 23rd.
The recruitment fields include regional specialty products such as agricultural, marine, and livestock products, processed foods, and traditional liquors. Eligibility is limited to domestic primary agricultural, marine, and livestock producers who have obtained government-certified quality certifications and processed food manufacturers using domestic main ingredients. Distribution companies that do not produce or manufacture products or companies handling imported products are not eligible to apply.
Applicants can download the new recruitment application form by accessing the Post Office Shopping Mall or the Korea Post Business Promotion Agency website, fill it out, and submit it along with the relevant documents to the submission office by the 23rd.
Based on the suitability of the submitted application documents, the first round of screening will be conducted, followed by on-site visits to the production facilities to thoroughly check the facilities and hygiene environment, excluding companies that do not meet the standards in the second round. Finally, after review by a selection committee composed of government officials, consumer groups, and professors, the new products for 2021 will be finalized. The newly selected specialty products, having passed a strict three-stage screening, will be sold simultaneously online and offline through the Post Office Shopping app, internet, and over 3,400 post offices nationwide starting from September this year.

Post Office Shopping, which started in 1986, is a public shopping mall that safely delivers nationwide specialty products from production sites to consumers' homes.
