Hapcheon County Council Holds Policy Meeting with Livestock and Forestry Organizations
Listening to Challenges and Development Directions with Representatives of Each Industry

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] The Hapcheon County Council in Gyeongnam held a policy meeting on the 29th and 30th at the county council conference room, attended by local livestock cooperatives, forestry cooperatives, Korean cattle, pork, poultry, and beekeeping associations, as well as relevant departments of the county.
The meeting was organized by the Industrial Construction Committee of the County Council, with its members attending together, listening to suggestions and requests regarding difficulties and development directions from each industry-related organization.
At this meeting, where the relevant industries, departments, and council gathered, the organizations actively expressed opinions and proposed requests including ▲ demands for measures regarding the disposal of rice husk waste ▲ consideration of easing distance restrictions when constructing livestock barns ▲ directions for handling rice husk (waste) disposal ▲ securing alternative sites for nectar plants.

After the meeting, Jang Jin-young, Chairperson of the Industrial Construction Committee, said, “Through this meeting, we were able to hear firsthand the voices of industry stakeholders on site, and it was an opportunity to listen to specific difficulties and development directions and to think together. We will study and review to further develop the livestock, poultry, and beekeeping industries, which are major income industries for the residents, and propose measures to reflect them in county administration.”
