5G Subscribers Surpass 13 Million in February... 800,000 More Than Previous Month
[Asia Economy Reporter Eunmo Koo] The number of 5th generation (5G) mobile communication subscribers increased by 792,118 in February this year.
According to the 'Wireless Communication Service Statistics Status' from the Ministry of Science and ICT on the 31st, the number of 5G subscribers as of the end of last month was 13,662,048. This figure is about 200,000 less than the increase in January (1,018,857).
By mobile carrier, SK Telecom had the highest number of subscribers at 6,347,406. This was followed by KT with 4,158,685 and LG Uplus with 3,148,921. The number of MVNO subscribers was 7,036.

Among the total mobile communication subscribers (70,826,956), the proportion of 5G subscribers was 19.3%, an increase of 1.1% compared to January (18.2%).
