‘Total Prize Money 15 Million KRW’ Baekje Historic Areas Illustration Contest

View original image[Asia Economy (Daejeon) Reporter Jeong Il-woong] The Baekje World Heritage Center Foundation announced on the 31st that it will hold the "3rd World Heritage Baekje Historic Areas Illustration Contest" until May 9.
The contest has been held biennially since 2017 to share the value of the Baekje Historic Areas.
This year's contest is themed "Drawing the World Heritage Baekje Historic Areas" and participants are asked to submit illustrations expressing the history, culture, festivals, and travel of the Baekje Historic Areas.
Anyone interested in Baekje's history and drawing, from teenagers to university students and the general public, can participate in the contest.
The Baekje World Heritage Center plans to select 16 works based on suitability, originality, and symbolism, awarding a total prize of 15 million KRW and certificates to the winners.
The winning works will be featured in policy materials and promotional items of the Baekje World Heritage Center, Chungnam Province, Jeonbuk Province, Gongju City, Buyeo County, Iksan City, and the Cultural Heritage Administration, as well as on their websites. They will also be exhibited during the Baekje Cultural Heritage Week in July and the Baekje Historic Areas World Heritage Festival in August.

Lee Dong-ju, Director of the Baekje World Heritage Center, said, "The cultural heritage and traces of Baekje still remain in the Baekje Historic Areas," and added, "We hope many people will capture those traces in their works and submit them."
