Gwangju Entrepreneurs and Model Workers Receive Minister of Industry and Energy Commendation on the 48th Commerce Day

The awardees are Kim Ki-young, Chairman of Mokrim Co., Ltd., Kim Geun-sung, CEO of Daejeong Co., Ltd., and Shin Seung-chul, Director of Jjangjuk Co., Ltd.
Kim Ki-young, Chairman of Mokrim Co., Ltd., who received the Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy Commendation, has been recognized for his continuous technological development since founding the company in 1987, improving quality, establishing a mass production system for office system furniture through bold facility investments, and maintaining a 33-year history of a dispute-free workplace through labor-management cooperation and transparent management to enhance workers' rights.
Kim Geun-sung, CEO of Daejeong Co., Ltd., established in 1999, was awarded the Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy Commendation for his continuous R&D and management innovation activities in sponge processing and blow-molded parts, contributing to the improvement of quality in home appliances and automotive parts. He also significantly contributed to job creation and strengthening the competitiveness of Korea's parts industry by continuously expanding domestic facility investments and raising the domestic market share to about 70%.
In addition, Park Jae-deok, CEO of Pan Chemical Co., Ltd., received the Chairman of the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry Commendation for developing plastic RESIN for home appliance and automotive parts, enhancing regional industrial competitiveness, and contributing to export growth through global market development.
Shin Seung-chul, Director of Jjangjuk Co., Ltd., who received the Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy Commendation as an exemplary manager, was highly evaluated for his leading role in strengthening corporate competitiveness by serving as head of the company-affiliated research institute and developing new products and filing patents considering various distribution channels.
Additionally, Bang Soo-young, Deputy Manager of LST Co., Ltd., and Kim Ji-hye, Deputy Manager of The High Co., Ltd., were recognized for their outstanding job performance and expertise, contributing to company development, and received the Chairman of the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry Commendation as exemplary employees.

Meanwhile, the 48th ‘Commerce Day Ceremony’ this year was held on a small scale at the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry building, attended by Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry Chairman Chey Tae-won, Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy Sung Yun-mo, awardees, and domestic and international businesspeople, due to the impact of COVID-19.
