LG Hello, Green Umbrella Children’s Foundation, and Korea Communications Agency Host ‘Children’s Media Class’
[Asia Economy Reporter Eunmo Koo] LG HelloVision announced on the 31st that it has signed a business agreement with the Green Umbrella Children’s Foundation and the Korea Communications Agency to conduct the ‘Children’s Media Classroom.’
The Children’s Media Classroom is a media education program where children can directly experience the process of producing news and video content. According to the agreement, the three organizations will run the ‘Children’s Media Classroom’ for about 100 children in Seoul, Gangwon, and Busan for four months starting next month. The Children’s Media Classroom is offered in two formats: a ‘News Production Classroom’ for children aspiring to be future reporters and announcers, and a ‘Video Production Classroom’ for children dreaming of becoming PDs and content planners.
This year’s Children’s Media Classroom will produce news and video content on the themes of ‘environment’ and ‘our neighborhood.’ It aims to provide children with opportunities to think independently about environmental issues and local matters and to develop their ability to express these concerns. A ‘Hello Children’s Video Festival’ featuring videos and content created by the children themselves will also be held. Outstanding students will have the chance to appear as reporters on cable TV local channels, and excellent content will be broadcast through the local channel viewer-produced program ‘Neighbor Creator.’
