The Ulsan District Court Criminal Division 8 (Judge Jeong Hyunsoo) announced on the 30th that A (39), who was tried on charges of fraud, was sentenced to a fine of 5 million won.
In February 2018, A applied for a return of children's shoes worth 35,900 won purchased from an online shopping mall, received a refund, and then sent only the empty box back to the shopping mall.
A is accused of embezzling about 7.2 million won by receiving refunds for a total of 173 products over 59 occasions using this method.
