A Man in His 50s Dies After Being Hit by a Falling Part While Working in a Factory
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Jucheol In] A fatal accident occurred at a factory in Goseong-gun, Gyeongnam, where a factory executive in his 50s was struck on the head by a falling part from above and died.
At around 4:10 a.m. on the 30th, A (52), a managing director at a factory in Donghae-myeon, Goseong-gun, Gyeongnam, was hit on the head by a falling welding machine part during work and died.
The accident happened when a welding machine part fell to the factory floor during early morning welding work on a structure about 30 to 40 meters high.
The managing director was wearing a safety helmet, but the police believe he died from the strong impact as the welding machine part weighing over 10 kg fell directly on his head.
