Recruitment of Participants for Geochang Living... Promotion of Tourist Resources, Culture, and Arts
Promotion Tasks for Geochang's Tourism Resources, Culture, Arts, Historical Resources, and Festivals
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] From April 1st, participants will be recruited for the Gyeongnam-style month-long stay project "A Comma in Daily Life, Living in Geochang," a long-term stay travel project where travelers stay and travel in Geochang, Gyeongnam.
The month-long stay project allows participants to plan their own individual free travel and promote the county's tourist resources, local culture, and history through SNS and other channels.
Eligibility requires participants to be residents aged 19 or older from outside the Gyeongnam area, forming teams of 1 to 2 people to undertake small-scale individual free travel for a minimum of 3 days and a maximum of 30 days. The number of teams to be recruited is 15.
Participants will be supported with accommodation fees (up to 50,000 KRW per team per day) and entrance fees and experience costs for Geochang tourist sites (up to 50,000 to 80,000 KRW per person).
The county plans to select participants by giving preference to those who can actively promote Geochang tourism through personal SNS such as youth, YouTubers, and bloggers, considering motivation for participation, thoroughness of travel plans, and promotional effectiveness.
Selected participants must carry out tasks promoting the county's tourist resources, culture, arts, historical resources, and festivals.

Jo Ho-kyung, Director of the Culture and Tourism Division, said, "We hope to increase long-term stay travelers within the region in line with current trends and provide opportunities for travelers to experience and promote Geochang through SNS, leading to active and effective tourist inflow and revitalization of the local economy, which has been stagnant."
