Gwangju University Operates 'Saje Donghaeng' Club to Enhance Current Students' Employment Competencies
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Gwan-woo] Gwangju University announced on the 30th that it will implement a customized professor-student club support program to strengthen the career competencies of enrolled students.
This program, conducted as part of the University Innovation Support Project, involves professors and students forming clubs to carry out various learning activities aimed at improving learning ability, creative convergence problem-solving skills, and career planning abilities.
At least one club will be established for all departments, and support will be provided for ▲materials related to contests and club activities ▲activity expenses such as major-related field trips ▲items and printing costs used for club-related administrative tasks.
Gwangju University plans to accelerate the cultivation of local talent and the enhancement of students' employment competencies through the operation of professor-student joint clubs.

Kim Hwang-yong, head of the University Innovation Support Project Group at Gwangju University, said, “Professor-student joint clubs will help improve students' career competencies and enhance intimacy between professors and students,” adding, “Amid growing anxiety among students due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we will develop programs that can be conducted with professors to help students adapt to school life.”
