The district has been conducting COVID-19 vaccinations since the 2nd for high-risk group facilities (13 nursing facilities and 6 mental rehabilitation facilities) targeting those under 65 years old.
Out of a total of 356 eligible individuals, 96.1% gave prior consent, and 342 people (308 workers, 34 residents) have completed vaccination. From the 30th, vaccinations will begin for seniors aged 65 and older and workers in elderly nursing facilities.
The AstraZeneca (AZ) vaccine used for this vaccination, targeting a total of 569 people in 14 facilities (100 workers, 469 residents), is administered with the second dose 10 weeks after the first dose, and the vaccination is expected to be completed by early June.
Additionally, remaining individuals excluded from the vaccination will be able to visit the Sinwol Health Center in person for vaccination, provided they are mobile.
To ensure safe vaccination for residents admitted due to old age and various illnesses, the district will strengthen pre-vaccination screening and, for facilities with more than 30 people, will stagger vaccinations at intervals of 3 to 4 days to prepare for nursing and care gaps.
Furthermore, vital signs will be measured before and after vaccination, and monitoring will be conducted post-vaccination to strengthen initial response in case of adverse reactions.
