‘Shilla Ilta’ Emerges... Shilla University’s Successful College Life Project in the COVID-19 Era
Increasing Academic Adaptability and College Satisfaction: Student Support Programs Gain Popularity↑
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] Silla University (President Kim Chung-seok) is launching the ‘Silla Ilta (Becoming Silla University’s Top Star)’ program as part of the University Innovation Support Project.
The Silla Ilta program is a student support initiative first implemented last year to enhance students' academic adaptability and satisfaction with university life.
Due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic, Silla University has decided to operate the Silla Ilta program again this year. The Student Counseling Center will accept applications from second-year students starting March 29, and the program will run from late April through June.
Professional counselors and instructors affiliated with the Student Counseling Center will help reduce students' anxiety and promote psychological stability through cognitive restructuring processes.
Career and aptitude tests will also be conducted to improve self-directed learning capabilities. Instructors will assist students in objectively understanding their tendencies and finding customized learning methods and strategies.
A Silla University official said, “It is regrettable that students who enrolled last year have not been able to fully enjoy university life for over a year due to COVID-19. In the first semester, the program will target second-year students, and in the second semester, it will be offered to freshmen to help them adapt to university life and improve their learning abilities.”
